All about OGG files
OGG is a container format developed by Xiph.org in which various media content, such as audio or video elements, graphics or subtitles, can be implemented. The associated compression format is called Vorbis and works lossy because certain frequency ranges that are not perceived by the ear, are filtered out. Compared to a file in mp3 format, a document in OGG format is even higher in quality, even if OGG files, especially in the private consumer sector, are not very common. The format developed for streaming also allows copyright protection based on DRM and unlike the aac or MP3 format, is completely free and does not claim any patents.
