All about TEX files
Files with the file extension .tex are text documents which were created for example with the free word processing software LaTeX . In particular, TeX is used in the creation of technical or scientific documents, since, for example, the creation of (complex) mathematical formulas is very fast. Since LaTeX is not a conventional text editor with WYSIWYG function ( What you see is what you do), you have to learn the operation and function first.
