WDP files are image files (especially digital photos) in a format developed by Microsoft known as JPEG XR (eXtended Range), but also known as HD Photo or Windows Media Photo . Apart from Microsoft Windows, the support is rather poor to moderate, so sometimes a conversion to another format – for example, JPG – makes sense.
