Once the conversion is complete, the files will be saved to your computer's Downloads folder.

We only provide a separate converter for the most popular file formats. In principle, all conversions can be carried out using the universal converter.

Unfortunately, conversions aren’t always successful – missing fonts or legal restrictions (in the case of ebooks) can sometimes cause conversions to fail. It’s best to try the conversion again – perhaps using a different output file type. If you encounter any problems, you can always contact us via the contact form.

All files are deleted from our servers within 24 hours at the latest – after that, no one can access them anymore. Furthermore, data transmission to file-converter-online.com is encrypted using HTTPS. You can find further information in our privacy policy.

Sometimes everything still fits on a single page in the .doc document, but it no longer does so in the converted PDF document. In such cases, you simply need to remove a blank line or some other spacing from the original file; usually, it’s only a matter of a few millimetres.

The maximum file size for the free version is currently 750 MB. With our Premium account, you can convert files up to 20 GB in size.

To put it simply: Yes. All files and data are transmitted in encrypted form when sent to file-converter-online.com. The files are converted on file-converter-online.com’s servers and deleted within 24 hours at the latest. All our conversion servers are located in a secure data centre in Germany.

Converting small files (text files, small images or audio files of just a few MB) usually takes only a few seconds. Converting larger videos or archives may take several minutes. Progress is shown via a progress bar. The download starts automatically once the conversion is complete.

The files are stored solely for the purpose of conversion. Once converted, the files remain available for download for a further 3 hours, after which they are automatically deleted. Files that have not been converted, interrupted uploads and similar items are deleted within 24 hours at the latest.

Registration is not required. For large files (over 750 MB), more than three conversions per hour, and batch conversion of up to 50 files, we offer our Premium Account.

You can upload up to 3 files per hour, each up to 750 MB, free of charge. A message will appear once the limit has been reached.

Yes, we do not offer subscriptions. If you opt for Premium, the costs are clearly set out in advance. We expressly distance ourselves from subscription models and do not offer them.
